Supporting Wildlife Conservation Through Education
Koru Camp
At Savuti, beauty and purpose go hand in hand. From the beginning, my heart has been deeply connected to Africa — its people, its creativity, and its extraordinary wild spaces.
And with that connection comes a responsibility: to help protect what makes it so special.
That’s why Savuti proudly supports Koru Camp, a nonprofit dedicated to conservation education for children.
Last October, I had the privilege of visiting Koru Camp in person. I was able to hand over a tablet — something simple, yet powerful — to support their learning programs
Why Koru Camp Matters
Koru Camp believes that conservation starts with connection — that children must experience the wilderness in order to love and protect it.
In their words:
“At Koru Camp we believe that the heart of conservation education lies in creating educational opportunities that result in meaningful access to the Bushveld, developing a connection to and love of the wilderness — and inspiring the belief in young people and their surrounding communities that these wild spaces should be preserved, protected, and celebrated.”
Their program brings children into the Bushveld, where they learn:

✔ why wildlife protection matters
✔ their role in preserving the land for future generations
These are the future caretakers of the wilderness — and giving them tools to learn is one small way we can help.
Collecting tablets for the next trip
Technology helps Koru Camp expand learning, access resources, and deepen engagement.
Savuti is now collecting gently used tablets to take on my next trip.
